V1CE
British NFC card pioneer with a strong feature set, but without EU hosting and enterprise features
V1CE (V1CE LIMITED, based in Preston, England) was founded in 2020 by Haydn Price and is considered one of the pioneers of high-quality NFC business cards made of metal, bamboo and plastic. According to the company, more than 510,000 people use the solution. In 2025/2026, however, the company fundamentally restructured its offering: today V1CE positions itself as an individual "Client Capture OS" - a networking CRM with an NFC card, an AI assistant (Scout), automated follow-ups, a booking calendar, plus contract and payment features. This realignment is explicitly aimed at solo entrepreneurs, consultants and coaches; the current Teams page states verbatim "Not for enterprise teams".
In the comparison, V1CE achieves an overall score of 49 out of 100 points. The result is split in two: the card's pure feature set is excellent at 90 out of 100 points, but on the criteria decisive for German B2B use - GDPR (38), enterprise integration (36) and team/admin management (40) - V1CE falls significantly behind. For individuals and small consulting practices the product is interesting, but for a structured company-wide rollout it is only of limited suitability.
Strengths
- Established pioneer of high-quality NFC business cards (metal, bamboo, plastic) with lifetime card replacement and a strong brand image (more than 510,000 users according to its own figures, mentioned in Forbes)
- Broad sharing options: NFC tap, QR code, Apple Wallet and Google Wallet pass, as well as email signature, each without requiring an app
- Extensive CRM integrations (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, monday, Zoho, Notion, Zapier) for automatic lead handover
- Integrated networking CRM with lead capture, AI enrichment (Scout), automated follow-ups, a booking calendar, plus contract/payment features as an all-in-one package
- DPA publicly available, SCC/UK Addendum as a transfer mechanism, encryption with AES-256/TLS 1.2+
Weaknesses
- Recent repositioning as an individual 'Client Capture OS' - the Teams page explicitly states 'Not for enterprise teams'; classic B2B/enterprise features (team admin console, bulk provisioning, SSO/SAML/OIDC, SCIM) can no longer be clearly substantiated in the current offering
- No EU/Germany hosting stated; personal data is transferred to the USA (Apollo.io, Bright Data) - problematic for GDPR-sensitive German B2B customers
- No confirmed security certifications (ISO 27001, SOC 2 not substantiated in the current policy documents)
- No free tier; only a flat monthly price without tiered team/enterprise pricing; no German-language support stated and a mixed Trustpilot picture (approx. 4.0) with criticism of service/delivery times
Data protection & server location
From a data protection perspective, V1CE has to be assessed critically for German companies - hence the GDPR score of 38 out of 100 points. A server location in Germany or the EU is not stated; according to the privacy policy and the DPA, personal data is processed outside the UK/EEA and transferred to the USA, including to sub-processors such as Apollo.io and Bright Data.
This third-country transfer is safeguarded via the UK Addendum and EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC). On the positive side: a Data Processing Addendum (data processing agreement (DPA)) is publicly available, as is a GDPR policy (as of 20 Nov 2025); encryption is performed with AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.2+ in transit.
Recognized certifications, however, are lacking: neither ISO 27001 nor SOC 2 is substantiated in the current policy documents; earlier marketing claims regarding SOC 2 Type II can no longer be verified in the current offering. For organizations that value EU or Germany hosting and documented certifications, V1CE is therefore not an obvious candidate.
Enterprise readiness & integration
For enterprise use, V1CE is only of limited suitability following the repositioning, which is reflected in an enterprise integration score of 36 and a team/admin score of 40 out of 100 points. Classic B2B features can no longer be clearly substantiated in the current offering: a central team admin console, bulk provisioning of users, as well as single sign-on (SAML/OIDC) and SCIM provisioning are not documented.
The Teams page even explicitly distances itself from the enterprise segment with the note "Not for enterprise teams". What is present and strong, on the other hand, are the CRM integrations: V1CE integrates HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, monday, Zoho, Notion and Zapier, allowing captured leads to be handed over automatically to existing sales systems.
An open REST API is not clearly stated. For solo entrepreneurs and small teams whose primary goal is to capture leads and feed them into the CRM, this is sufficient; for IT-driven rollouts with identity management and device management, the necessary building blocks are missing.

V1CE FAQ
Is V1CE GDPR-compliant and where is the data hosted?
V1CE provides a public Data Processing Addendum (data processing agreement (DPA)) as well as a GDPR policy (as of 20 Nov 2025) and encrypts data with AES-256 (at rest) and TLS 1.2+ (in transit). An EU or Germany server location, however, is not stated.
According to the privacy policy, personal data is processed outside the UK/EEA and transferred to the USA (among others to the sub-processors Apollo.io and Bright Data), safeguarded via the UK Addendum and EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC). For GDPR-sensitive German companies, this means a third-country transfer, which is rated in the comparison with a GDPR score of 38 out of 100 points.
Is V1CE suitable for companies and large teams?
Only to a limited extent. V1CE repositioned itself in 2025/2026 as an individual "Client Capture OS"; its own Teams page explicitly states "Not for enterprise teams". Key enterprise features such as a team admin console, bulk provisioning, single sign-on (SAML/OIDC) and SCIM can no longer be clearly substantiated in the current offering.
The enterprise integration score is 36 and the team/admin score is 40 out of 100 points. For structured company-wide rollouts with identity management, providers with documented SSO/SCIM/admin features are better suited.
Is V1CE ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certified?
V1CE's current policy documents mention neither an ISO 27001 nor a SOC 2 certification. Earlier marketing claims regarding SOC 2 Type II can no longer be verified in the current offering. There is therefore no substantiated, independent certification of the technical and organizational measures - a relevant point for regulated B2B procurement.
What does V1CE cost and is there a free plan?
V1CE costs a flat monthly price for the "Client Capture OS", including the NFC card, networking CRM, AI assistant (Scout), automated follow-ups, a booking calendar, plus contract and payment features. There is no free plan and no tiered team or enterprise pricing; the prices are stated in British pounds rather than Euro. The price-performance score is 48 out of 100 points.
